Privacy policy

What stays on your device

• Your summer plan (children’s first names or nicknames, ages and chosen camps) is saved in your browser’s local storage. It isn’t sent to us unless you choose “Save my plan” by email.
• Your ZIP code or location, if you use distance features. Device location is rounded to about 1 km before it’s stored, and it’s never sent to our servers.
• Share links contain the plan inside the link itself. We don’t store shared plans. Anyone you send the link to can see it.

What we collect, and why

• Email for registration alerts. If you sign up, we store your email with our email provider to send camp opening alerts and occasional updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Email to save your plan. If you use “Save my plan”, we store your email and your plan so you can open it on another device, plus your reminder choice.
• Camp listing requests. If you claim or submit a camp, we keep the contact details you give us to verify and update the listing.
• Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and clicks, such as how many parents click through to a camp’s registration page. It uses cookies and collects device and browser information. We don’t send it your email, ZIP code or plan.

Anonymous camp counts

When you save a camp or add it to your plan, your browser tells us once that “a family saved this camp” or “a family planned this camp”. We store only the camp and a running total, never who you are or what else is in your plan. We may later show totals like “Saved by 25+ families” and share them with camps.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
• We don’t ask for passwords. Saving a plan creates a simple account tied to your email, and you sign in with a one-time email link.
• We don’t knowingly collect information from children. The planner is for parents.

• Kit (email list) and Resend (sign-in links and reminders)
• Google Analytics (visit statistics)

Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom.
• Clear the plan on this device by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
• Delete a plan you saved by email anytime: open the planner, tap “Save my plan”, then “Delete my saved plan”.
• Ask us to delete your email or saved plan: hello@summercampsfrisco.com

Links to camps

We link to camps’ own websites to register. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we don’t control what they collect.
