Tips for parents

  • Ask what kit the camp uses. LEGO-based kits suit younger kids; programmable boards suit kids who already code a little.
  • Look for a challenge or showcase at the end of the week. It keeps kids working toward a goal.
  • Check team size. Two or three kids per robot means everyone gets hands-on time.

Common questions

Do kids keep the robot they build?

Usually not. Most camps reuse kits and send kids home with photos, videos or code instead. A few sell take-home kits, so ask the camp.

How much do robotics camps cost?

Among the 4 robotics camps we list with published prices, weekly prices start at $279.95 and go up to about $299 (2026 and 2027 prices). Full-day, extended care and member rates vary, so check each camp’s page for details.

When does registration open for robotics camps?

None of these camps have announced their next registration date yet. Most post summer dates in January or February, and popular weeks fill quickly. Sign up for registration alerts so you don’t miss opening day.
