Tips for parents

  • City- and district-run camps often fill on opening day. Set a reminder for registration.
  • Compare hours, not just price. A 7:30am–6pm camp can replace separate before- and after-care.
  • Ask how field trips are scheduled and whether they cost extra.

Common questions

What’s the difference between a day camp and a specialty camp?

Day camps mix lots of activities and usually run longer hours. Specialty camps focus on one thing, like coding or soccer, and are often half days.

How much do day camps cost?

Among the 9 day camps we list with published prices, weekly prices start at $110 and go up to about $419 (2026 and 2027 prices). Full-day, extended care and member rates vary, so check each camp’s page for details.

When does registration open for day camps?

None of these camps have announced their next registration date yet. Most post summer dates in January or February, and popular weeks fill quickly. Sign up for registration alerts so you don’t miss opening day.
