Summer camp prices in Frisco: what parents pay (2027)

How much should a week of camp cost in Frisco? We looked at the published prices of every camp we list to find out.

Updated Oct 17, 2026

Camp prices vary a lot, and the price on a camp’s website is rarely the whole story. Here’s what we found across 43 camps in Frisco and nearby, using each camp’s published weekly price. 37 of them post a price.

What a week of camp costs

Weekly starting price Camps
Under $200 5
$200–$299 22
$300–$399 6
$400 and up 4

The typical starting price is about $295 a week. That’s the lowest regular price each camp offers, often for a half day. The full-day option at the same camp usually costs more.

Half day isn’t always cheaper

Camps that only run full days start around $300 a week, from $235 at the YMCA’s Frisco day camps to $550 at School of Rock.

Camps that only run half days start around $300 a week too. A morning of LEGO robotics or theater can cost as much as a whole day at a day camp. You’re paying for specialist teachers, small groups and equipment, not hours.

What this means for planning: if you need full-day coverage, a general day camp is usually the best value per hour. Save specialty camps for weeks when someone can handle a midday pickup.

Fees that add to the total

  • Registration fees: 7 of the camps we list charge one, from $25 to $100. The YMCA’s $100 fee is cut in half during its spring sign-up weekends.
  • Extended care: early drop-off and late pickup are usually extra, often $45 to $65 a week each way.
  • Lunch: most camps ask kids to bring lunch, so budget for that too.
  • Field trips: some day camps charge more for field trip weeks or days.

Ways to pay less

  1. Sibling discounts: 6 camps we list offer one, usually 10% off.
  2. Memberships: members pay less at the YMCA ($210 instead of $235), the Heard Museum ($225 instead of $250), Sci-Tech Discovery Center and Apex Centre. If you’ll book several weeks, a membership can pay for itself.
  3. Early-bird pricing: some camps discount heavily for registering early. North Texas Performing Arts offered 40% off through mid-February in 2026.
  4. Financial assistance: the City of Frisco’s Play Fund and the YMCA both offer need-based help.

Common questions

How much does a week of summer camp cost in Frisco?

Across the camps we list, the typical starting price is about $295 a week. Most fall between $200 and $300. A few half-day camps cost under $200, and specialty camps like rock band or hockey run $450 or more.

Why do half-day camps cost as much as full-day camps?

Specialty half-day camps pay for skilled instructors, small groups and equipment, such as LEGO robotics kits, ice time or art supplies. Full-day day camps spread their costs over larger groups and longer hours.

What does a whole summer of camp cost?

It depends on the mix. Ten weeks at a $235 day camp is about $2,350 before fees and extended care. Swapping in a few $300–$450 specialty weeks adds a few hundred dollars. Our planner adds up your plan as you go.

Is there financial help for summer camp in Frisco?

Yes. The City of Frisco's Play Fund offers need-based help for its camps, and the YMCA has a financial assistance program. Some camps also offer sibling discounts. Ask each camp before you register.
